Ranunculus No. 1 -Original Watercolor Painting
"Confidence & Delight"
Created as part of the Refresh Collection.
Details: An original painting, unframed, 4.5x4.6 inches, colored pencil outline under high quality watercolor on cold-pressed (textured) paper. Artist's signature clearly visible in gray pen.
Inspiration: I've nicknamed this little randunculus "Rose Imposter," because I was so struck by how similar her bloom looks to a rose! The best part is how confidently she seems to be strutting.
To me, this painting depicts hope for what the future might hold, while delighting in what's already been given to us. Ranunculus' stem isn't as strong as a rose's, but her petals are just as beautiful. She delights in the spontanaity of her own petals and embraces the strength she does have.
She knows she belongs right where and how she is.
I hope this painting will inspire you to delight in the beauties in your own life, however small or ordinary they might be.
Framing: I imagine this painting matted or floating over a mat in a natural or stark white to highlight the blues and best showcase the detail. I'd set it in a frame that complements your home’s aesthetic, maybe in a vintage or modern metalic, or maybe a light wood. More information on how to best preserve and frame your artwork will come with your painting shippment.
