Inspiration: From the very moment I sketched this rose, she became something other than myself... She was an inspiration to me!
Maybe it's her color, or maybe it's her pose, but this rose just doesn't seem to be bothered with the judgement of the observer. Her gaze is fixed upward in order to keep her focus on what she's created to be and do. She reached toward the sun as she continues her journey of growth.
This collection is all about seeking peace and trust in our own season of life. After a whirlwind in 2020, my heart desired slowness, gentleness, and peace.
This painting symbolizes strength and perseverence to me. The courage this rose seems to have is contagious. At this point in my journey, I was realizing that discovering my own path would take focus and a disregard for what the world thinks of it.
I hope she reminds you to keep your eyes upward and inspires you to be who you were created to be.
